KYOKO_HIBINO

Kyoko Hibino joined Scott Joyce Design in 2001. She is responsible for collaborating and overseeing all phases of the design and construction process.  Her unique and highly qualified background in construction documentation and administration augments her considerable design talents.

Prior to joining Scott Joyce Design, Inc, she worked as a junior architet in the Los Angeles office of HHPA.  It was during this time that she collaborated with Scott Joyce on several HHPA projects.  Kyoko's portfolio of projects during her two years at HHPA include the University of Notre Dame Center for the Performing Arts in South Bend, Indiana, SOKA University in Liso Viejo, California, and the Hyperion Theater at Disney's California Adventure in Anaheim.

Born in the United States, but raised in Japan, Kyoko returned to atend the University of California where she received a Bachelor of Sciences degree in Physical Sciences.  When she completed the degree, she left Los Angeles to attend the University of Pennsylvania Graduate School of Fine Arts and received a Master's Degree in Architecture.  Her thesis Time, Light, Space: Intangible synthesized her early work in physics with natural phenomenon.  She continues to pursue this design philosophy and apply it to her work.
